Wendy's Kid's Meals to Include U.B.Funkeys Toys
Just found out that one of the next rounds of Kid's Meal toys at the Wendy's fast food restaurant will be based out beloved Funkeys! The picture below shows what will be included in the selection. It includes 2 different CD's with games of some sort, a pink Funkeys bobble-head based on Wendy (sort of), a fold out Funkeys 3D board game, and a yellow and red Funkeys backpack clip. The kids don't get Wendy's very often, but something tells me they're going to be getting a few Kid's Meals soon... :) You can see it for yourself over on the Wendy's site if you'd like. Click here and then click on "Coming Soon" when you get there... If you see them show up at Wendy's post here!!! Labels: Exclusive Funkeys, Funkeys News, Wendy's Kid's Meals

Funkeys Poster Found on eBay
Looking through the eBay listings today, I came by a UBFunkeys poster that was apparently given out at the SDCC. The down side to it is that it is a "bonus" item in an auction for a Dot figure, which usually always goes for over $100! Too bad, because I'd love to get that poster... Plush Funkeys, Funkeys Waterbottle, and Funkeys Mousepad
There is a recent increase in U.B.Funkeys related merchandise popping up. The biggest news regarding official merchandise is the fact that the plush line of Funkeys has started showing up in Target stores! Though they are not selling them on Target.com, they are making their way on to eBay now. Also showing up on eBay are some promotional items that look to have been given away earlier this year at the San Diego Comic Con. There is currently a water bottle featuring an image of Tank for sale here...There was also a Funkeys mousepad that just sold a few days ago... Funkeystown Adventure Pack Exclusive Hits K-Mart Stores
The Funkeystown Adventure Pack sold exclusively through K-Mart has started hitting shelves at various K-Mart stores. The pack was initially reported on eBay a few days ago, but many of our forum members have started finding them at their local K-Mart stores and the following image was supplied by amlovelady... The set includes Mayor Sayso, Master Lox, one of the Henchmen, and YET ANOTHER Bones for everyone that is still without a Bones... :) Sorry but come on, all of the long-time collectors just got an extra Bones with their Dream State starter pack a few month back. Why not a second color from the four different Henchmen? Even though I have to complain a little, I'm still really excited about this pack and hope that hope to find it soon myself! So far, the pack has not shown up on the K-Mart website. Labels: Adventure Pack, Bones, Exclusive Funkeys, Funkeystown, Henchmen, K-Mart, Master Lox, Mayor Sayso, Purchasing Funkeys
Funkiki Island Adventure Pack is Back! Hurry!
U.B.Funkeys Funkiki Island Adventure Pack is Here!
I got my Funkiki Island Adventure Pack today from Target and ran it home on lunch for my son to play after school today. I took a quick snapshot with my cell along with my three Dream State UB hubs (regular, pink Toys R Us Exclusive, and black UK exclusive)... Gotta love the new stuff! I'm curious how my kids will enjoy the Adventure Pack... Labels: Dream State, Exclusive Funkeys, Funkiki Island, Jerry Pearl, Natives, Pineapple King, Purchasing Funkeys, Target
Funkiki Island Adventure Pack Now Available
Sorry, I know I'm a little late posting this. The Target Exclusive Funkeys Adventure Pack was first found to be available for purchase on the Target site on the evening of Oct 2nd. It's been available on and off since then as they are likely working through their inventory. The site at this point says that this will be an online exclusive and not available in stores. For those of you who do not yet know, the Funkiki Island Adventure Pack (with exclusive figures Jerry Pearl, a Funkiki Native, and the Pineapple King) is one of two that Mattel has announced. The other (a Kmart exclusive) will be based in Funkeystown and include Master Lox, Mayor Sayso, and Henchmen. There is no date associated to that pack yet. U.B.Funkeys Exclusive Characters Update 3.2
As first announce by our forum member JustinSprocket, the 3.2 update, called the Exclusive Characters Update, started to hit last night. My computer did not find the update yesterday or today even though it looked for one, but I was just updated by Funk-E that there was a glitch last night and they had to temporarily reverse the update. Mattel hopes to have it ready again either today or Monday. From the discussion in the forum, there is a new update to the Funkiki Island zone which is assumed to be for the Target exclusive Funkiki Island Adventure Packs that are supposed to be hitting the shelves soon. There's more details on that exclusive (with Jerry Pearl, a Funkiki Native, and the Pineapple King) here and more here if you missed that announcement. Further info from Funk-E: I was also informed about a couple VERY exciting new features in this update. Players with unique Funkeys names will now be able to save their progress to the servers. This means two things: 1) We'll be able to recover all player data if anything happens (computer crash?) and we need to re-install everything! 2) We'll be able to play our accounts from different computers! There's more, but Funk-E wanted me to hold off and let everyone discover some on their own as well... Discuss this here!Labels: Adventure Pack, Ask Funk-E, Exclusive Funkeys, Funkeys News, Funkiki Island, Game Updates, Jerry Pearl, Natives, Pineapple King
Round-up of Recent Funkeys News
Game Update:As most of you know by now there was a version 3.15 update released recently called "Promo". I didn't post about it right away because there weren't any obvious changes to the game. I confirmed over the weekend that the update was strictly back-end updates. On the plus side, some in the forum have reported that it seems to have fixed some glitches in their games for them. Pink Exclusive Dream State Starter:Over the weekend, Bryan1-2 from the forum reported a new color variation of the Dream State Starter. It has a pink version of the UB hub (not just plain pink like the Limited Too exclusive) and comes with Twinx and Waggs. Funk-E confirmed to me that it is a Toys R Us exclusive. On a side note, Funk-E also confirmed that the black hub version of the Dream State Starter is an exclusive for a UK based retailer called Argos. I've done some digging and they will not ship outside of the UK, so US collectors are going to have to resort to places like eBay as they start becoming more widely released. Other Images:First one up is this image of some early prototypes from Hidden Realm. We originally talked about it here but didn't post the image at the time... Second is an image that was pointed out by someone on the forum. It's the Speed Racer image from Target.com. I hadn't noticed, but the Racer X in the image looks completely different as if it was an early design... Last image for this post is a Funkiki Island image I had not seen before. Looking around last night, I found this on the UK version of the Radica website... Funkeys Plushies Images on Target.com
The target.com site is now showing images of the first Plush UBFunkeys coming out including Deuce, Lucky, Waggs, Berger, Bones, and Sprocket. The odd thing about them being on the site is that they are only available in the Target stores. They will not be available to order online. So what do you think? Personally, I'm a bit disappointed with the way they look... Labels: Berger, Bones, Deuce, Exclusive Funkeys, Lucky, Plush, Plushies, Purchasing Funkeys, Sprocket, Target, Waggs
Funkeys Funkiki Island Adventure Pack at Target
The rumored Funkiki Island figures are finally a reality. Reports started flowing in this morning of the Funkiki Adventure Pack listed at Target.com. The pack looks to include a Funkiki Native, Jerry Pearl, the Pineapple King, and Sol. Images of these first showed up after the NY Toy Fair, which you can see here. You can check now if they are in stock yet by clicking here. Labels: Adventure Pack, Exclusive Funkeys, Funkiki Island, Jerry Pearl, Natives, Pineapple King, Purchasing Funkeys, Sol
That's right, for the first time (so far) a San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive Dot Funkey topped the $100.00 mark on eBay. Well, if you include shipping it did. The closing bid was $97.73 plus $6 for shipping! See the listing here...I guess this is good news for those who own one (or two) from the show and want to sell them for a quick profit, but it doesn't bode well for those who have been hoping to see the price come down so they can have one to use in the U.B.Funkeys game. It's still not entirely clear if/when the other two color variations of Dot (yellow and green) will be released or how limited they will be, but for now the 2000 red Dot Funkeys are getting harder and harder to come by. One small ray of light is the fact that we have secured an extra Dot here at theSpeakEasy and plan to give it away soon. We'll run a contest to see who gets it, so keep checking back and we'll post the details soon! If the contest doesn't sound like your cup of tea but you really want one, you can see if there are any active Dot listings on eBay right now...Feel free to discuss this here in the forum...Labels: Contest, Dot, ebay, Exclusive Funkeys, Purchasing Funkeys
Exclusive Dot Funkey Showing Up On eBay
For those who haven't noticed yet, there are exclusive Dot figures from the San Diego Comic-Con showing up on eBay now. From the look of it, they must have been limited to 2 per person because I haven't seen the same seller list more two of them. With only 2000 out there in total, these might become pretty tough to find soon... Labels: Dot, ebay, Exclusive Funkeys, Funkeys News
Update 3.05 Realeased - Dot Added to Funkeystown
The download for version 3.05 hit on Friday and Dot's place is added the the Funkeystown map, all but assuring us that the talked about "ladybug" exclusive Funkey to be sold at the San Diego Comic-Con will indeed be Dot. Questions still swirl regarding which version of Dot will be release. Or will all three? Below you can see some screen-shots of what's to come... Exclusive Dot Variant to be Released at the SDCC?
Our forum member Pickle has brought to light some recent announcements regarding an Exclusive SDCC "ladybug" Funkey. Could this be our first look at Dot? Being an exclusive, will it be a fourth color variation from the previously released images? We'll find out soon! From the way it's worded below in this release from Mattel, it sounds like it will be immediately playable as well, so there will need to be some sort of download involved. It will either need to be a general download or perhaps one that is activated by this exclusive figure being placed on the UB? Again, questions we should know the answers to soon after the Comic-Con! From Figures.com:Funkeys Exclusive Ladybug - A brand new Funkeys experience with unique online play. Still not consumed by the Funkey’s world? Stop by and pick up a starter kit as well and get your Funkey in full gear. $10.00.
To give fans not attending Comic-Con a chance to own these exclusives, Mattel will be launching a new Collector Website. A very limited number of each of this year’s SDCC exclusives will go on sale on the new site at 8:00am EST on July 28th.
The new website will also provide the latest news, updates, and previews on Mattel's latest toy lines and will also be the EXCLUSIVE HOME of their new Masters of the Universe Classic action figures with a new character to be made available EACH MONTH starting this fall. The URL to this exciting new site will be unveiled at Comic-Con.So anyone else getting up early on the 28th? Labels: Dot, Exclusive Funkeys, Funkeys News, Purchasing Funkeys, SDCC
More Target Exclusive Funkeys USB Flash Drive Details
It's official! The USB Funkeys Flash Drives are out at Target. One of our forum members, Cuddles, has purchased one of the new USB flash drives from Target. She got a Deuce and took some additional pictures for us... 1) We now see the back of the package that contains images of other Funkeys as well as some text that I can't make out. 2) The complete contents of the package including the Deuce USB Drive, instruction sheet, USB extension cable (for those hard to get to USB ports), and an attachable string/key chain thingy. 3) Flash Drive Deuce with his head off to expose the USB attachment. 4) USB Drive Deuce with the string/key chain thingy attached to his head. 5) Size comparison of the regular U.B.Funkeys Deuce and the Flash Drive Deuce. I had imagined them being bigger, but I'm glad they aren't. Labels: Deuce, Exclusive Funkeys, Funkeys Flash Drives, Funkeys News, Images, Purchasing Funkeys
