Funkeyfan559 from the forum pointed out a couple images on Flickr a few days back of a Funkeys both from a toy show. It looks to be a show in the UK, since the UB in the logo is black. The only black UB is from the UK exclusive Dream State starter pack. I really like the use of the cardboard stand-ups and the gigantic balloon Deuce. What I'd love to get my hands on is one of the posters hanging on each corner. Well, OF COURSE I'd love to get ahold of the balloon Deuce or one of the cardboard stand-ups, but that's not too likely... :(

Xener means traveler in Funkey. In the late 40th century, Funkeys were obsessed with space travel. They spent millions of coins on missions that accomplished very little. The last flight mission crashed and remains intact to remind them of this frivolous program but the Xener still believe that space travel is the final frontier...

That's right, the Funkeys starter packs are currently on sale for $16.88 (USD) at Target. The display says "toy catalog item", so I'm guessing that this is a widespread sale and not just a local thing. The sale tag says that it runs through November 21. I also found the "very rare" black Xener while I was out last night so that narrows it down to only three more that I need of the initial 24 that have been released. Woohoo!

We were able to get a contact form up and functioning so you may now tell us all about how much you dislike the site! Woohoo... But seriously, we'll be adding a "resources" section soon, so if you run or know of a good Funkeys related site, let us know.

So as you can probably tell, this site "just" went live and there's a ton to do. Up so far is the "characters" page which currently lists and shows images of all 66 U.B.Funkeys that were designed and added to the game before it was released. That's 22 characters (or tribes) and the three color variations for each. Soon, they will each click through to bio pages that will include more images and information about the characters. That list currently includes Bandit, Boggle, Bones, Deuce, Dot, Drift, Fallout, Flurry, Glub (not Gulb as it was misspelled on the first wave of packages), Lotus, Nibble, Scratch, Sol, Sprocket, Sprout, Stitch, Tiki, Twinx, Vroom, Wasabi, Webley, and Xener.

Also, there's the "Where to buy Funkeys" page, which lists the stores you can find UBFunkeys at and links to a few places you can purchase them from on-line.
