U.B.Funkeys Booth from an Unidentified UK Toy Show
Funkeyfan559 from the forum pointed out a couple images on Flickr a few days back of a Funkeys both from a toy show. It looks to be a show in the UK, since the UB in the logo is black. The only black UB is from the UK exclusive Dream State starter pack. I really like the use of the cardboard stand-ups and the gigantic balloon Deuce. What I'd love to get my hands on is one of the posters hanging on each corner. Well, OF COURSE I'd love to get ahold of the balloon Deuce or one of the cardboard stand-ups, but that's not too likely... :( Update: "These photos are from the Leipzig Gaming Convention held in August 2008 in Leipzig, Germany." - Thanks to Kyau for this updated info! The Fallout are the mad scientists of Terrapinia. Scientists, in that they are constantly seen conducting strange experiments throughout Funkeys Town. Mad, oh yes, because Funkeys are always asking them what they are doing and interrupting their “important” work and, more notably, because their experiments rarely work... New Funkeys Are Out!
That's right, the next wave of Funkeys have landed! Unfortunately it seems to be only in Australia so far... You can see the images below or go bid on them on eBay. Site Updates - Contact Form
We were able to get a contact form up and functioning so you may now tell us all about how much you dislike the site! Woohoo... But seriously, we'll be adding a "resources" section soon, so if you run or know of a good Funkeys related site, let us know. So as you can probably tell, this site "just" went live and there's a ton to do. Up so far is the "characters" page which currently lists and shows images of all 66 U.B.Funkeys that were designed and added to the game before it was released. That's 22 characters (or tribes) and the three color variations for each. Soon, they will each click through to bio pages that will include more images and information about the characters. That list currently includes Bandit, Boggle, Bones, Deuce, Dot, Drift, Fallout, Flurry, Glub (not Gulb as it was misspelled on the first wave of packages), Lotus, Nibble, Scratch, Sol, Sprocket, Sprout, Stitch, Tiki, Twinx, Vroom, Wasabi, Webley, and Xener. Also, there's the "Where to buy Funkeys" page, which lists the stores you can find UBFunkeys at and links to a few places you can purchase them from on-line. More soon!
